The Blu Janes is a Hip-Hop duo formed by MC Genesis Blu (Best Rapper Houston Chronicle) from Houston, Texas, and Kristen Ford from Nashville, Tennessee. This larger-than-life pairing met in Texas where everything is bigger- at "Super Happy Fun Land" back in 2015, both artists en route to perform at SXSW music festival. Striking up an unlikely friendship, the pair have continued to work remotely, coming together to record in Los Angeles, Houston, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, performing at events across the country such as SoFar Sounds, Mile of Music, National Women's Music Festival and Prides across the Nation.
